Dr. Katie Vollmar was born and raised in New Prague and is a proud alumni of New Prague High School. She is the fourth generation of veterinarians in the Vollmar family. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota, majoring in Animal Science. She attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017. Since graduation, she has been working at New Prague Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Vollmar enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has special interest in surgery. Dr. Vollmar resides in New Prague with her two cats, Penny and Mimi. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys cross country skiing, jigsaw puzzles, reading, spending time with friends and family, and keeping up with the Minnesota Wild hockey team.

Judy Vollmar was raised in Montgomery, MN and is a graduate of Montgomery-Lonsdale High School. She received her Associates Degree in accounting from Minnesota School of Business in 1978. After graduation she worked for NWNL Insurance Company for 7 years, at which time she decided on a career change to work with her husband, Dr. Bill Vollmar, managing the practice. Shortly after she became a Certified Hill's Nutritional Consultant. She and Dr. Bill have three daughters; Brianne, Kelly and Katie; and live in New Prague. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter.
